BYHA update
by posted 09/18/2020

Hello BYHA, please read reminders and new information below.

-Each player, coach and spectator needs to sign in before any BYHA practice using this link https://forms.gle/cas7ZrLqXqHn24dx6 or QR code posted at the rink.  This needs to be completed by each players own parent or guardian, this is a critical step we all need to take to keep our rinks in compliance, safe and open going forward.

-Rink attendance for games will be monitored and enforced by our leagues and rink employees.

-See attached update here http://usahockey.cachefly.net/DANA/ExecutiveOffice/Mailers/2020/20-041_Letter-to-Affiliates-and-Programs-re-Insurance-(9-16-20).pdf    from USA hockey regarding changes in insurance coverage provided through each players USA hockey #.

-Going forward a BYHA board member will notify any team if applicable before their weekend game that is scheduled to play at a rink in, or vs. an opponent from a City/Town deemed a high risk community (red City/Town) by the State of Massachusetts.  It will be each team's decision individually if they want to play or reschedule.  If you need help rescheduling please reach out to our VHL rep Matt Garver matt.garver@gmail.com or our MYCGL rep Sara Townsend sarabeggtown@gmail.com

-If your uniform order was placed this month and need a temporary uniform until your order comes in please reach out to our equipment rep Schuyler Wiggin  schuyler@quebradabakingco.com

-The Watertown rink has retracted their updated mask ordinance from last week.  Players no longer need to wear masks while on the ice unless they are taking a face off.  Masks need to be worn by all coaches and spectators at all times, and by players while off the ice or on the bench.  We are awaiting their updated guidance and will post on our BYHA site as soon as it is available.

-Practice schedule for October will be released this weekend.

Rink Protocols
by posted 09/12/2020

Hello team!

Wanted to let you know about some new protocols that have been put in place. All of our rinks are asking that the parents please leave the rink once our players equipment is put on and then the parent can come back to assist with taking equipment off.

The Watertown Rink is now requiring that skaters wear masks both on and off the ice. Be sure to have your masks on the kids under their helmets.

Thank you,

Coach Murphy
