Welcome to Belmont Youth Hockey (BYHA)!

June 16, 2020

Hello BYHA families,

I hope you and your families are well and making the best of these unusual times.  I wanted to provide an update regarding on-going work to prepare for the 2020-'21 season.  The challenge with this preparation, in full candor, is that we don’t yet know what to expect for the fall.

The BYHA Board has been in close communication with the Valley Hockey League and the Middlesex Yankee Conference, and both are sensitive to the ambiguity of the current situation and have temporarily postponed any major deposits required for next season.

We made the decision to reduce the initial tuition deposit for next season to $100 in light of the uncertainty.  However, we do expect to ask for an additional tuition payment sometime in July for registered player, once more information is provided by both leagues.  We will do our best to communicate with you in advance on a due date and payment amount.

Mass Hockey has been hosting live webinars that are recorded and available on their YouTube channel here.  These webinars are a great way to stay informed on the latest information regarding plans for hockey reopening.  Please follow us on Instagram @belmontyouthhockeyassociation and or Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/belmontyouthhockey.  We've compiled some information about summer camps (please access that here) for those looking for summer hockey.

Thank you for your patience and your continued support.  Getting kids on roller blades, shooting pucks in the driveway, and stickhandling a golf ball are great ways to stay sharp until we can get back on the ice.

We hope to see you all at a rink soon.

Best

Mike French

Hello BYHA families,

I hope you and your families are well and making the best of these unusual times.

I wanted to provide and update regarding on going work this off season to prepare for our 20-21 season.  The challenge with this preparation work is that, in full candor, we don’t know what to expect for the fall.

We have been in close communication with the Valley Hockey League and the Middlesex Yankee Conference and both leagues are sensitive to the ambiguity of the current situation and have temporarily postponed any major deposits required for next season.

We made the decision to reduce the initial tuition deposit for the coming season to $100 in light of the uncertainty.  However, we do expect to ask for an additional tuition payment sometime in July from each of our registered families once more information is provided by both leagues.  We will do our best to communicate with you in advance on a due date and payment amount.

Mass Hockey has been hosting frequent live webinars that are recorded and made available on their YouTube channel (search for Massachusetts Hockey).  These webinars are a great way to stay informed on the latest information regarding plans for hockey reopening.

We will make these webinars available on our newly formed social media pages, please follow us on Instagram @belmontyouthhockeyassociation or Facebook @ https://www.facebook.com/groups/belmontyouthhockey.
